HOW DO WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW GOD???
1 John 2:3-6 ¶
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith , I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected : hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk , even as he walked. The HOLY BIBLE KJV
REPENT AND BELIEVE
¶ Now when they heard {this,} they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" Peter {said} to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying,
"Be saved from this perverse generation!"
Repent = Stop Sinning, turn away from the world, your own selfishness & desires and follow Jesus.
Jesus said in "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned."
